How to get to Cranger Weihnachtszauber

Cranger Weihnachtszauber takes place on the Cranger Kirmesplatz in Herne – right in the heart of the Ruhr region – and is easy to reach by public transport, bike, or car.

Getting here by bike or e-scooter:
There are 250 bicycle parking spaces available near the entrance.
A large parking area for e-scooters is also provided.
Both parking areas are located on the street "An der Cranger Kirche".

Getting here by public transport:
From Herne station and Wanne-Eickel main station, several bus lines take you to Cranger Weihnachtszauber in just a few minutes.

From Wanne-Eickel Central Station::
Line 323 to the stop Crange
Line 322 (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM)
Linie 342 to the stop Fred-Endrikat-Str.

From Herne Station:

For train travel from surrounding cities, we recommend changing to a bus at Wanne-Eickel Central Station. Wanne-Eickel Central Station connects you to many nearby cities with ease!

Getting here by car:
If you're coming via the A42 motorway from the direction of Gelsenkirchen, please take the Herne-Wanne exit and follow the signs to Parking Lot 3. For easier access, an extra turning point has been set up on Dorstener Straße – making your arrival even more convenient! If you’re arriving via the Herne-Crange exit, follow the signs to Parking Lots 1 and 3. If you're coming from Herne via Heerstraße, please use Parking Lot 2. More than 1,500 parking spaces are available.

Opening Hours of Cranger Weihnachtszauber

Cranger Weihnachtszauber is open daily from November 20 to December 30, 2025 (closed on December 24 and 25). Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 2:00 PM to 9:45 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 9:45 PM. On Sunday of the Dead, Cranger Weihnachtszauber is open from 6:00 PM to 9:45 PM, and on December 26 from 12:00 PM to 9:45 PM.

O'Donnell Moonshine

Nearly a hundred years ago, the Prohibition era took place in the USA: the production and sale of alcohol were banned. A time of secrecy began. Farmers called their moonshine — illegally distilled liquor made under the moonlight — “Moonshine.” To avoid suspicion, they stored it in American Mason jars. The farmers then sold their moonshine to smugglers known as “Bootleggers”…

O’Donnell Moonshine has brought this once notorious drink back to life. The moonshine is handcrafted in Germany following traditional distilling methods and made with natural ingredients. The original Mason jars come directly from the USA. O’Donnell Moonshine also stands for environmental responsibility, producing handmade pourers; the jars can be reused in many ways.

O’Donnell Moonshine comes in five varieties: The purest so far, “High Proof” (50% vol.), is a triple-distilled and filtered wheat-based moonshine that honors the roots of moonshine. Additionally, there are the liqueurs “Bratapfel” (20% vol.) with natural apple juice, cinnamon, and vanilla; “Bitter Rose” (25% vol.), a blend of grapefruit, rosehip, and black elderberry; “Harte Nuss” (25% vol.) with robust hazelnut and sweet caramel notes; and the newest creation, “Wilde Beere” (25% vol.), a fruity-sweet liqueur made from raspberries, blackberries, and grapes.
