How to get to Cranger Weihnachtszauber

Cranger Weihnachtszauber takes place on the Cranger Kirmesplatz in Herne – right in the heart of the Ruhr region – and is easy to reach by public transport, bike, or car.

Getting here by bike or e-scooter:
There are 250 bicycle parking spaces available near the entrance.
A large parking area for e-scooters is also provided.
Both parking areas are located on the street "An der Cranger Kirche".

Getting here by public transport:
From Herne station and Wanne-Eickel main station, several bus lines take you to Cranger Weihnachtszauber in just a few minutes.

From Wanne-Eickel Central Station::
Line 323 to the stop Crange
Line 322 (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM)
Linie 342 to the stop Fred-Endrikat-Str.

From Herne Station:
Line 323 to the stop Crange
Line 322 (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM)

From Herten/Marl:
Linie SB27 to the stop Recklinghauser Str. (500m walking distance)

For train travel from surrounding cities, we recommend changing to a bus at Wanne-Eickel Central Station. Wanne-Eickel Central Station connects you to many nearby cities with ease!

Getting here by car:
If you're coming via the A42 motorway from the direction of Gelsenkirchen, please take the Herne-Wanne exit and follow the signs to Parking Lot 3. For easier access, an extra turning point has been set up on Dorstener Straße – making your arrival even more convenient! If you’re arriving via the Herne-Crange exit, follow the signs to Parking Lots 1 and 3. If you're coming from Herne via Heerstraße, please use Parking Lot 2. More than 1,500 parking spaces are available.

Opening Hours of Cranger Weihnachtszauber

Cranger Weihnachtszauber is open daily from November 20 to December 30, 2025 (closed on December 24 and 25). Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 2:00 PM to 9:45 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 9:45 PM. On Sunday of the Dead, Cranger Weihnachtszauber is open from 6:00 PM to 9:45 PM, and on December 26 from 12:00 PM to 9:45 PM.

Experience what is arguably the most exclusive location at the Cranger Weihnachtszauber. Inside the world's tallest mobile Christmas tree, at approximately 45 meters, you'll find a rustic and cozy dining room for up to 40 people.

Enjoy the cozy get-together with mulled wine, beer, wine or non-alcoholic drinks and the view of the Cranger Weihnachtszauber and the show stage in the fairy tale forest.

Due to high demand, we recommend making a reservation for groups, corporate and family celebrations.

The Cranger Weihnachtsstube

The Cranger Weihnachtsstube is the new meeting spot at the Cranger Weihnachtszauber! In a cozy atmosphere, the heated lounge invites you to gather and linger with friends, family, and colleagues.

Enjoy delicious mulled wine, freshly tapped beers, children's punch, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages in the Weihnachtsstube. Food brought from the Weihnachtszauber is also warmly welcome in the Weihnachtsstube.

A special recommendation is the duck roastery directly opposite; the neighboring Burggrill offers a wide selection of classic and seasonal specialties.

The Cranger Weihnachtszauber’s food stalls have something for every taste: crispy bratwurst, delicious cauliflower, baked mushrooms, and hearty fish dishes from the Herne-based company Fisch Lichte.

Or try original Hungarian lángos – and treat yourself to a hot serving of freshly cut French fries.

Also to be found at the Cranger Weihnachtszauber: stuffed pizza rolls, baked potatoes, and freshly made potato chips.

The Cranger Weihnachtszauber also offers a wide selection of delicious dishes for vegetarians! Look forward to treats like feta cheese pockets with fresh salad and many other vegetarian highlights that showcase the full flavor and variety of festive cuisine.

For those who prefer a cold drink, we offer freshly tapped beer along with a selection of soft drinks and water. Our younger guests will also be delighted with our tasty children's punch or a hot chocolate, served with or without whipped cream.
