Real ice rink and Bavarian curling

Ice skating on the real ice rink at Cranger Weihnachtszauber is twice as much fun: glide across 1,000 square meters of ice, surrounded by festive Christmas decorations.

Our four Bavarian curling lanes invite you to a fun competition with friends, colleagues, or family. Whether you’re looking for a relaxed pastime or a small tournament – the focus here is on shared enjoyment.

New this year:

 

The lanes have been extended to 14 meters and now feature a covered and heated starting area. This means you can play in any weather – warm, dry, and completely relaxed.

Afterwards, the cozy Cranger Weihnachtsstube invites you to warm up and indulge. Enjoy delicious drinks and seasonal specialties from the diverse offerings of the Weihnachtszauber – perfect for a break or to round off a wonderful evening

Sporty, cheerful, and even romantic moments are guaranteed in the ice rink adventure world at Cranger Weihnachtszauber! Make sure to reserve one of our Bavarian curling lanes in advance for your company or family celebration using our booking system.

The ice rink is additionally open for school classes from Monday to Friday between 10:00 AM and 1:30 PM. This year, school classes from Herne can enjoy the ice rink free of charge.

How to get to Cranger Weihnachtszauber

Cranger Weihnachtszauber takes place on the Cranger Kirmesplatz in Herne – right in the heart of the Ruhr region – and is easy to reach by public transport, bike, or car.

Getting here by bike or e-scooter:
There are 250 bicycle parking spaces available near the entrance.
A large parking area for e-scooters is also provided.
Both parking areas are located on the street "An der Cranger Kirche".

Getting here by public transport:
From Herne station and Wanne-Eickel main station, several bus lines take you to Cranger Weihnachtszauber in just a few minutes.

From Wanne-Eickel Central Station::
Line 323 to the stop Crange
Line 322 (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM)
Linie 342 to the stop Fred-Endrikat-Str.

From Herne Station:
Line 323 to the stop Crange
Line 322 (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM)

From Herten/Marl:
Linie SB27 to the stop Recklinghauser Str. (500m walking distance)

For train travel from surrounding cities, we recommend changing to a bus at Wanne-Eickel Central Station. Wanne-Eickel Central Station connects you to many nearby cities with ease!

Getting here by car:
If you're coming via the A42 motorway from the direction of Gelsenkirchen, please take the Herne-Wanne exit and follow the signs to Parking Lot 3. For easier access, an extra turning point has been set up on Dorstener Straße – making your arrival even more convenient! If you’re arriving via the Herne-Crange exit, follow the signs to Parking Lots 1 and 3. If you're coming from Herne via Heerstraße, please use Parking Lot 2. More than 1,500 parking spaces are available.

Parking costs just €5.

With over 100 attractions, shows, market stalls, and indoor and outdoor dining options, the Cranger Weihnachtszauber is the perfect destination for a group trip.

A visit to the Cranger Weihnachtszauber guarantees your guests a magical and varied experience for all ages.

Since we want to make your stay at the Cranger Weihnachtszauber as comfortable as possible for you and your guests, reserved bus parking spaces are available on the event grounds. Tokens for food and drinks are also provided for bus drivers at the event office near the ferris wheel.
