The Christmas fair in the Ruhr region

From November 20 to December 30, 2025, the Cranger Kirmesplatz transforms into Europe’s largest mobile Christmas theme market.

You can look forward to many attractions, including the grand Christmas parade with lots of festive characters, the flying Santa Claus, a fantastic elf magic show, impressive walking acts, a traditional Christmas market, delicious culinary treats, the Christmas fairy tale forest, exciting rides, the large real ice rink for skating in a magical Christmas atmosphere, festive ice stock sport, elaborate decorations, and much more.

We’re happy to announce that the real ice rink and curling lanes are returning this year—bringing winter joy and exciting challenges for everyone!

Slip into your skates and enjoy the magical feeling of gliding across real ice—surrounded by festive decorations and sparkling lights.

New this year:
Our Bavarian curling lanes have been extended and now offer even more space for exciting matches with a length of 14 meters. Extra comfort: The starting area is covered and heated, so you can play regardless of the weather and fully focus on the fun.

The lanes are perfect for company celebrations, family events, or fun get-togethers with friends.

Our tables inside the festive Weihnachtsbaum and the cozy Cranger Weihnachtsstube offer the perfect setting.

Cranger Weihnachtszauber takes place on the Cranger Kirmesplatz in Herne – right in the heart of the Ruhr region – and is easy to reach by public transport, bike, or car.

Getting here by bike or e-scooter:
There are 250 bicycle parking spaces available near the entrance.
A large parking area for e-scooters is also provided.
Both parking areas are located on the street "An der Cranger Kirche".

Getting here by public transport:
From Herne station and Wanne-Eickel main station, several bus lines take you to Cranger Weihnachtszauber in just a few minutes.

From Wanne-Eickel Central Station::
Line 323 to the stop Crange
Line 322 (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM)
Linie 342 to the stop Fred-Endrikat-Str.

From Herne Station:
Line 323 to the stop Crange
Line 322 (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM)

From Herten/Marl:
Linie SB27 to the stop Recklinghauser Str. (500m walking distance)

For train travel from surrounding cities, we recommend changing to a bus at Wanne-Eickel Central Station. Wanne-Eickel Central Station connects you to many nearby cities with ease!

If you're coming via the A42 motorway from the direction of Gelsenkirchen, please take the Herne-Wanne exit and follow the signs to Parking Lot 3. For easier access, an extra turning point has been set up on Dorstener Straße – making your arrival even more convenient! If you’re arriving via the Herne-Crange exit, follow the signs to Parking Lots 1 and 3. If you're coming from Herne via Heerstraße, please use Parking Lot 2. More than 1,500 parking spaces are available.
